a parlor guitar is a type, usually of acoustic, guitars.
it's smaller than a "drednaught"
a drednaught can be quite loud, but sometimes cost more, so it you're looking for cheaper, then a parlor guitar would be it, but it's not very loud, only loud enough to fill a small "parlor" room.

Not too many companies build parlor guitars anymore...

Parlor basically describes a very small acoustic guitar normally played in smaller rooms like...you guessed it... parlors.
