My husband thinks it's ok to have a whole bottle of wine himself a few times a week. He thinks it's ok to have 5-6 beers on any given night. Aren't you supposed to just have a drink or two to just get a bit of a buzz, not so much that it gets you drunk.
Please tell me, because we argue about it all the time.
BTW, he is 6 ft and 170 lbs.

ok, so my husband saw the question and he said that I am being unfair because he doesn't have the "whole" bottle, I have a glass too.
And he says that he doesn't drink 5-6 beers, he drinks 3-4. I guess maybe I was just talking about the beers he would drink when we are at a party or get together.
AND he drinks about twice a week and maybe has 1-2 drink one other time a week.
So I am not trying to win the argument, I just want to know the truth, now is that a lot or not.

Don't think there is nothing to worry about unless he is drinking everyday to get drunk then something must be bothering him. let him have his few beers as long as it don't go over a 6 pack , don't think he has a prob. that might be something that he likes to do ,for some its play video games , or pool , just be thankful he is doing it at home and not out driving or in a bar. i think if you pressure him to stop he will do it behind your back and cause more prob.

There are no rules to what you are supposed to drink or not. It isn't so much as how much he is drinking as it should be if he is abusive or something negative when he drinks. If he is happy and is hurting no one and is not dying of liver problems from drinking let him drink. We get married thinking we're supposed to control our spouses and that is not the case. He managed his drinking before you and he can manage it now. His liquor tolerance will be much higher than others because of his size and because he has practice drinking. Heck, as a woman of a 6 ft 4 in 260 lb husband I have learned to drink a 6 pack before really getting a buzz. I can drink a bottle of wine all on my own and never turn into a drooling idiot. Arguing about it is making him choose his free will to live happily or what you think he should do. You will not win that argument ever and if he stops because of the arguing he will be bitter toward you. If his drinking turns into a health issue of true concern then you fight him but if it is not and he is not harmful let him drink.

Six feet tall, 170 pounds....exactly the same as me, so I think he is drinking way too much. I like a glass of wine , sometimes maybe two glasses, once or twice a week. 2, or maybe once in a while, 3 beers , twice a week is acceptable....much more and I would worry that he is becoming an alcoholic. You're right, just a bit of a buzz, once in a while!

is there a reason why he is drinking so much? to escape some problems on the homefront? does he just enjoy the taste? maybe if it is the taste thing, get him some non-alcoholic beer. do you drink with him? Sit him down and explain to him why you are concerned. Hope this helps:)

You could be heading down a bad road with the drinking.
It can get a hold on you and never let go.
You need to sit down and have talk about the drinking as it could quickly destroy everything

if thats his biggest problem u need to kiss him and blow him
6 beers or a bottle of wine is nothing! is he waking up for work?
Besides if he wasnt doing it at home he might be doing it out in which case he'd still be getting blowjobs just not from u

He is an alcoholic. People are not supposed to drink that much at home every day.

Sounds like your husband has a big-time alcohol problem. I don't care whom you ask, it's not normal to regularly drink a whole bottle of wine in one sitting.

I think it depends on the person. although, if you asked the 'experts' they will say 1-2 drinks per day. some can handle more, some less...
