and on my lower back - they feel like really bad aches but without the contractions - is this normal? The baby has not dropped as my belly is so high up that it is not even funny - anyone experience this. I really feel it when I sit for a while and then I try standing up and when I am walking it's like something is pressing down.

Your baby has probably started to drop in preparation for labor. I'd go to the dr. and check to see if you're dialated at all.

It could be that your baby is getting ready to drop. I had the same symptoms befor my baby dropped, but I can not tell you for sure becuase I also went into labor then, and the doctor told me that the back aches I was fealing actualy were early contractions. No matter if it is early labor or not good Luck

With my first i never had braxton hicks... at 28 weeks i went straight to hard contractions, and horrible back labor.. Baby never dropped, and I had to be put on meds to keep the contractions at bay. I delivered via c-section at 39 weeks because my bones where to narrow in the end. The pressure may just be how the baby lays, and shouldnt be anything to worry about. Call your doc and ask them just in case though. Now that your 35 weeks, you should keep everything you expiriance up to date with your doc. Good luck, hope you find out what it is.

I felt that way a few hours before my labor started. Kind of bad backaches that didn't go away. The best thing for you to do is to drink a liter of water and lay down for a bit.

If the pressure goes away, you are not in labor. Obviously, if you start to experience discomfort that comes and goes and you can time it, you should check with your doctor or midwife because you could be in labor.

maybe the baby is beginning to drop. and the new pressure in ur pelvis is bothering u. as for the back pain in may be a sign that early labor is starting or u r getting ready to begin labor in a few days. or it could just be that the baby moved into a positon that is uncomforable for ur back.

with my 3rd baby this also happened. I would have alot of pressure when i walked around or just stood up. believe it or not but it is is your baby pressing down or moving down. and it will not go away until you give birth to your baby. mine was so bad even when i just got out of bed.. it would be so bad i couldn't hardly walk. i had to hold my belly up. ha ha. but trust me.... every pain will be worth the baby you hold in your arms.

It could be the cervix relaxing and getting ready to deliver the baby, I had the same thing in both my pregnancies. I haven't had it yet with this pregnancy because I am only 21 weeks.

Some people have back labor. If you have the urge to push-get to the hospital. On second thought, I would go and get checked to see if you have started to dilate.
