Do you know the difference between a "Vocation" and an "Avocation?" Hint: Vocation is what you do for a living. Avocation is what you do for fun/hobby. While, all things are INDEED possible, what is the likelihood of joining the chosen few who are fortunate enough in this life to get to have their Avocation as their vocation. My wife is one, I am not.
Lastly, here's another thought. My father was not an educated man. In fact, he never received a high school diploma. He was extremely bright, but suffered miserably from dyslexia. Back then, they labeled him as "Stupid" and wrote him off. He struggled tomake ends meet. He got a good job in a factory and worked a job he absolutely hated for 18 years -- then, they closed the factory down. I had the great displeasure of recognizing that my father had terminal cancer and convinced him to go see a "REAL" doctor. He died less than six months later. You must decide how important money is to your life and what you wish to do. Chasing the all mighty buck is not happiness, but neither is living in abject poverty. When you are young, life seems endless and death is what happens to the other guy. But as you get older, you come to realize that death know no bounds and can come to anyone at anytime. Don't piss your life away working for "the man." But do something with it and have some fun. My oldest son used to go to a summer skate boarding camp. He got to be pretty good friends with Tony Hawk's son. We eventually move away and my son, now 18, no longer skate boards. How many guys do you know actually make it in the world of pro skating? You stand a better chance at playing guitar in some bar on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

do both! your young so do the skateboarding thing now!
You can always play the guitar if you have the insterment.
but if you feel you can't do both at the same time then do the skateboarding first...
Then after you surpass your goal of a skateboarder then you can start the goal fo being a kicken guitar player or what ever your goal is!
but when your not skateboarding and not hanging out pick up the guitar and practice too!

If you can't decide which to quit then don't quit either! Like if it's raining and you can't skateboard practice guitar, but if you need to go to a friends house instead of walking take your board and practice on the way there, given that they don't live miles away. Also, just follow your heart if you like playing guitar and it makes you happy keep doing it, but if you love boarding and get a natural high from it focus mainly on skateboarding, or vice-versa. Just follow your heart and remember that the person who can give you the best advice is yourself.

Seriously! These are two "hobbies." You do them for fun.
NEITHER will pay your bills, put a roof over your head, or give you food on the table. When you grow up you HAVE to have either a trade, or a career.
You can still keep doing them, at nights, on the weekends. But spend time seriously thinking about getting some kind of education AFTER high school. If you do NOT, the jobs you get will be really bad.

I'm assuming that you're been 16-18 years old (hopefully) and probably from Cali.
Your wet dreams about being Tony Hawk won't be realized, BUT maybe if you have REAL musical skills, go to a music school like Juliard in NYC.
Otherwise, please go to college (a 4 year one), get a 4 year degree and pursue a career that will pay some money.

nicely, I do merely not understand, heehee. easily it truly is a sturdy idea to have others critique one's statements because it brings into view yet another attitude shall we've missed. if you're sensible you'll pay interest to what others ought to assert. there's a quaint saying, "I in no way realized something even as i change into speaking." I admit to being extreme many of the time. it truly is why i favor to relax contained in the evening with a movie that perks issues up and brings a grin or 2. you're good, "the global is merely too a lot with us" at cases. As to others downsizing our efforts, evidently to me that in a good number of of our solutions it truly is a sort of "convey route" maximum human beings take to achieve a end. We hop and bypass by replies all too effectively and do not take sufficient time to judge different's solutions. this is sort of the "quick food" device right here, ;- ) quick solutions and quick judgements, yet i ask your self if we study something from being too hasty in our judgments. Oh nicely, on with the practice!
