Contrary to your statement's implication, lawsuits against gun manufacturers have NOT been successful, because firearms are not inherently dangerous and because their manufacture is not a proximate cause of the injuries others cause by their use.

You also fail to understand some basic things about the law. Unless McDonald's has been in some way damaged as a direct result of some careless or intentional act (or failure to act), it has no right to sue anyone -- let alone an entire category of people ("parents of fat kids").

Maybe you thought you were being clever or funny, but your gross ignorance of how the law works just makes you seem stupid -- and probably with an unrealistically high opinion of your own intelligence.

There is no law that says that gun makers are responsible if someone gets shot. There are people who think there should be such a law, but there isn't at the present time and there probably never will be.

I don't think MDs would want to bother suing parents for letting their kids get fat. How 'bout this: How 'bout kids suing their parents for making them get fat? You know, "You gave me too many cookies and now I'm fat. I'm gonna sue you for making me fat!"

No I don't think so, but the parents might be able to sue McDonald's.

if you have a good lawyer that can find a loop hole in any law, then you can sue anyone that you think wronged you.
