Ok, some people think its too "bad" to be christian, and others think its too "jesus" to be rock. What's the deal here? For one thing, it can't be called "bad" for the music itself. The sound made by guitars and drums aren't evil. The lyrics are christian, and that's what makes the music christian. On the other end, rock is just a type of music. And the music is what classifies something as being rock, not how bad it is. So if a band is singing a message about God to the sound of rock music, what's wrong with that? There are plenty of awsome christian bands out there who really know how to rock. There's Skillet, Flyleaf, and Decypher Down just to name a few. And some people who say christian rock sucks like christian bands and don't even know it, untill they find out and don't like them anymore. I love christian rock, that's all I listen to. And to all the people who don't, that's fine, but it shouldn't be because they think it's too "good" or too "evil". Who agrees with me here?

I don't care for rock music of any kind. But I am older than dirt. I would rather see younger kids listening to Christan rock than the other kind. I listen to Christan music and like it better than regular music. Nice to see someone on here that is a Christan. God bless

Larry Norman an older christian rock artist once sung: Why should the devil have all the good music. And I totally agree with it. The devil doesn't even have creating power and abuses that what God has created to his own benefit. So God did create music to honor and worship Him. Too many things He created are abused by bad influence and not intended the way He meant it to be, but He gave us a free will to make our own descisions, that's why I think christian rock and any other form of christian music is okay as long as it honors and worships God.

Without it, what might people listen to instead to satisfy individuals preferences of music with a faster, more vibrant beat to it. It's alive!!! I feel if you think it's okay, and you are not convicted in your heart otherwise, then it's okay for you. It is most definitely an individual choice. It's between you and God, not other's opinions. He'll let you know if it's wrong. If you are drawing nearer to godliness and your focus is on God and you're worshiping and praising Him and singing along, how can that be 'evil'.

yeah i like christian music...a favourite quote of mine by the founder of the salvation army, william booth hits the nail on the head:
"Why should the devil have all the best tunes? Secular music, do you say, belongs to the devil? Does it? Well, if it did I would plunder him for it, for he has no right to a single note of the whole seven. . . . Every note, and every strain, and every harmony is divine, and belongs to us.'

its pretty good. i go to a christian school so my friend listens to it and we listen to it in chapel..... i like some of it but i dont have any christian rock cds. i dont think its evil or anything like that......
