After installing DVD Maker Plus on my computer using their CD, my laptop suddenly failed to recognize my DVD driver. I was trying to transfer analog movies to DVD's. I made a copy of one and put it on my computer but when I went to put it on DVD it wasn't there. The website of Pinnacle software who makes this says that sometimes the CD/DVD will get turned off. Their solution is to go into the registry and make a change. I am very afraid of making any changes in the registry. Has anyone ever had his happen?

Yes, I presume they want you to delete the UpperFilters and LowerFIlters entries? Just back up your registry first and make the changes exactly as they told you to.

If you only what they tell you to do in the registry you should be okay.
