Hi,
You know I was thinking of this the other day because a few others had similar questions.

I would think that during the off months, when not live food is available, one could give their plants live crickets from the pet shop, or those freeze-dried tuber-ex worms that are fed to fish, and also those live or freeze-dried grubs that people put in their bird feeders for the bluebirds.
Anything dried I myself would moisten first though.
As long as what ever you plan to feed your plant has a protein value, you should be all right.
I used to have many tropical fish, and that's what started my thinking about people with carnivorous plant food needs.

Hope this helps, have a good day.

Dave

It is not necessary to feed your venus fly trap. They are best left alone.

If you just want to see them close, you can trigger them by using a toothpick trip the hairs inside.

venus flytraps suck the moisture out of its prey. betta food has no moisture so it would not be good for the plant.
