I have a new mac. Like a G5. I want to webcam/video conference with my GF, but she can't download iChat. The only program I found is mercury messenger, but there's no sound? are there any other ways other than her getting a mac? any programs? and I preferably wouldn't want to buy one. any suggestions!?!?! thanks in advance =]

Your best bet is Skype (www.skype.com). It works very well for video & voice chat for Macs & PC's.

To use most USB webcam's you'll have to download the USB webcam driver from here:

ichat is purpose apple makes use of AOL. I seek for advice from with my buddies that have computer's and that i've got a mac. Have them sign in for purpose and get their username and on the suited left on your show with ichat hit the upload chum and upload them and you'd be sturdy to head.
