At the time of sentencing, the Judge should have told him how long he has to be in jail before he can be eligible for parole. It is a decision up to the judge to decide. Even a lawyer cannot tell you how long he has to serve his sentence before he can apply for parole. If you ask him, he should be able to tell you.

If your friend is a repeat offender, he can expect to serve his full term in jail.

Well, I just went on-line trying to find this out for you w/ no luck. Maybe someone out there from Florida will have the info you need?? I can speak about Virginia's offender laws, past and present. I'll go back on-line and see if I can come up w/ something.

i was under the impression that IF you violated parole then you was not able to apply / get it for the same offense.

Just wondering why you are so caught up with such a waste of space as this guy seems to be, and IF a family member then surely you was taught better

Not long enough, for crying out loud he has been a ward of your state four times....when is he going to learn? Or does he blame society for his mishaps? The question you should be asking, "Is he going to learn this time?"
