I have no recollection of hearing of the Marshall tragedy until this movie started getting publicity but I thought it was a good film. I knew about how Wichita State University lost half it's football team about 6 weeks before Marshall lost their team and remember how it affected me as a kid even though I didn't live in Wichita and Wichita State is just one of three universities in Wichita (the biggest). I can only imagine the effect on folks in Marshall.

I think the actors and actresses did a great job, the music was very appropriate, the story very inspiring. I think the played up the story of the cheerleader who lost her fiance just right, not over doing it but also giving it just enough air time so you really liked the little waitress and knew it was hard for her to decide what the right thing to do was. The parents that lost kids, the heartbreak of having to try to rebuild and having all the odds against you, it was a good story!!!

I loved the movie! I was born and raised a Marshall fan and to see Hollywood take a look at the devastating crash of 1970 made me so happy! I wasn't sure how the movie would turn out, but I've seen it twice and cried both times. It's an amazing movie that really shows what Huntington, WV is all about!

I knew of the story prior to the film, but not to the extent that the film delivers. I found it a powerful and inspiring story, one which reflects well on Huntington and Marshall University.

Good film. A serious subject but ended on as "up" a note as you could considering that they had a lot of losing seasons before they had a post-crash winning season.

Matthew McConahy (or however you spell it) got on my nerves though, like he was a doofus and what's with all the chin stubble? It never grew into a beard but he was never clean shaven either, like he some defective razor or something.
