It depends where you start from.
Normally Sunday is taken as the first day, so Saturday is the seventh by that count.
But you could just as easily say Monday was the first day and Sunday was the seventh

It depends. Some people consider Sunday to be the seventh day, while others (esp. Seventh Day Adventists) consider it to be Saturday.

"The days of the week are seven
1 Sunday
2 Monday
3 Tuesday
4 Wednesday
5 Thursday
6 Friday
and 7 Saturday"
According to my first English lessons, the seventh day of the week is Saturday.......
in addition, I always knew that wednesday was the belly or center of the week.
