I experienced this when I was in early pregnancy....it was a miscarriage and they referred to it as a chemical pregnancy because my horomone levels were so low to begin with, the pregnancy itself had barely begun to take hold. You could just be having a late period...unless you took a pregnancy tests and saw that it was positive you may never know.
If you were indeed pregnant you should go to your ob and get another blood test done to look at your horomone levels. I'm very sorry...this is a difficult and painful problem and very common for many women out there.

I was bleeding to at 5 1/2 weeks. I went to the ER and found out that the placenta had gotten a tiny tear in it. Luckily I am 11wks now and it is healing. I would suggest that because it is heavy to go to the doctor. It is possible for women to get periods in their pregnancy but if you are bleeding so heavily you should get help. Good luck hun!

I would get checked out immediately Hun....even though bleeding is perfectly normal during pregnancy, being so heavy and bright red, with cramping...if the bleeding continued for more then a day...i would hate to say...but it sounds like a miscarriage...but u never know...just go to the doctors asap....Good Luck Hun.

I have had that happen twice. Please don't take my words as fact, I could be very wrong, but both times it happened to me it was a miscarriage. Call your doctor.
