2) Find out what you like to do

3) Find out how much money you have

Once you know these things you can figure out what small business to start :)

For myself I have a degree in advertising and I liked to draw and design. I had a little bit of money so I bought a screen printing kit.

I suggest you play around on Ebay for a while. Start slling a few things you don't need and learn the ropes. Ebay is a great place to start a small home business because they take care of advertising and all the little things so you can just focus on earning money.

Eventually you'll need to move on to your own website if you want to expand.

A lot of my friends have done janitorial services and they've done well. My friend now has employees that he sends out to clean office buildings and he just sits back and deals with the paperwork.

There's hundreds of things you can do but you gotta first find out what you like to do :)

I read in a book, Multiple Streams of Income (Allen), that a good busines to start is to formalize, teach and consult in area of knowledge where you have failed and figured out how to succeed as 1) you have lots of experience and credibility in this area and 2) people love to hear about failure and how it is overcome.
