Days of Our Lives....don't you hate it when they age someone so fast? How can they make EJ so old?

EJ was born shortly after I started watching the show about 16 years ago. Sami was already grown up and Will was just a baby. Belle was about 5. Now all of a sudden EJ is around Sami's age.

Well...Think about this! Abby should be OLDER than Phillip.... But shes not! I dont know why they didnt age her ..She was born in 1992 so shes not much older than she should be...but Phillip was born way after that...I was pregnant at the same time Marlena was pregnant with the twins...She had Sami and Eric about a month before I gave birth to my daughter...My daughter is now 22...Hmmmm, in order for Sami to have a teenaged Will...she has to be way older than 22! LOL

I remember when EJ was born and I'm only 21 and he's suppose to be older than I am. Logically he should be about 12, younger even than Sami's son Will. I think though, when you notice something like that you just drink a cup of coffee and assume that somewhere in Salem they have a magical aging machine that ages the stars of the show to fit the story line best. Also, it's rare that a 12 year old rapes a woman who's...wait how old IS Sami?

It happens all the time. I still remember when all of a sudden, Belle, Phillip, and Shawn turned into teenagers. It agitated me too about EJ because I have only been watching DOOL since I was 19. I'm 30 now. I remember when Elvis was born.

The soap magazines call it SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome). This phenomenon occurs when the "logical" age (based on when the character was born or was previously of a certain age) does not fit the story line. The adolescent and 'tween years are especially subject to this syndrome (no good story lines) so they become "troubled teens" or young adults.
