Wow, it is funny you ask this question tonight. I have always had a knack for knowing when to move on. Having seen the reaction to my Qs today, and the popular ones in P&S today, perhaps it is time I just move on from Y!A. I feel old and "washed up". ..

Yes. Start thinking about leaving after you have been there for about two hours and before morning. Watch the body language of the people that are around.

If it's a house party with several people Leave after the second set of people leaves.

If it's just you at your friends house, run if people start yawning or others in the house start going to sleep in their rooms. Also when the conversation gets silent and you run outta things to talk about.

Your gutt is te best way to tell. Like when you just get the feeling that you should go . . .Go, Leave right then. Nothing worse than overstayin. I once had a friend from school that did that and I never had them at my house again cause they had no manners. Some would call that . . . . . . . . . BORN IN A BARN.

Last but not least is when people tell you that it's getting late. yawning, they're getting tired, gotta get up early . . . . . all of this says that you stayed 30 minutes or more past.
Even if they try and say why are you leaving, leave anyway. Say you'r getting tired.

These days I don't go and stay anywhere very long. I do try to be considerate of others though.
