Ok, Im officially 12 days late on my period. I had my LMP on Nov. 25, 2006. I went 2 days ago to the DR and they took a pregnancy test (which came out negative) and a blood test (which also came out negative) But I TOTALLY feel pregnant. Could it be possible that Im really pregnant and the tests just aren't showing my hormone levels b/c they might be really low? I have signs of being pregnant (missed period, a little tiny bit of brown spotting around the time my period was supposed to be, indigestion, tiny abdominal cramps, fatigue, nausea, peeing alot, I dont have tender breasts, EXTREME back pain, etc) but it just wont show up. What else can do? I also have at times here and there, what feels like teeny tiny kicks. Now I have heard of woman having their period for the first 2 months of there pregnancy (which would explain why i was 3 weeks late last month on my period, when i am usually NEVER late) But the DR says I am not pregnant, any advice from woman who have gone through this?

I think you should wait a little longer and retest. I have a friend that will not get a positive result until 2 months. She learned this with her first baby. I've heard other cases where both the blood and the urine tests come back negative the individual is indeed pregnant. Get an ultrasound. If you feel pregnant go with your instincts and pretend that you are. Do not drink or stress out too much until you find out for sure.

If you have had both of these tests and the docs are saying no, then the probability of you being pregnant is slim to nill, but not completely gone. It is possible, but not likely. There are lots of reasons all of this could be happening. Stress is a major factor and can include all of the symptoms you are describing. If you aren't on any type of birth control, you can pretty well count on your periods being irregular. It's a natural thing. You could also have either a tubal pregnancy or possibly ovarian cysts. I had cysts and had the same symptoms. Women get them all the time, just most women don't have any type of pain associated with them, but there are a select few that do. There could be any number of things going on here, but my best guess is that you are probably just stressing out about this matter a little too much. Take some deep breaths and calm down. Don't let this bother you too much. If you go another couple of weeks and still don't have a period, consult your physician again. However, if you are experiencing any acute pain, that is your body's way of telling you that something is wrong and you should seek medical attention. I hope for your sake it is just stress dear. Good Luck!

Go with what your doctor says on this one. The mind is the most powerful thing sometimes....especially if you are trying to concieve. Take it from one who knows, I thought I was pregnant and had major pregnancy symptoms several times without being pregnant...even thinking I was made me late before. If your symptoms were due to horomones, then those same horomones would show up enough on tests that the dr would be able to interpret them. I believe it is one particular horomone, progesterone, that creates the symptoms of pregnancy....so if they didn't detect it with a blood test than you aren't experiencing true pregnancy symptoms.
As I said, I have been through this many a time...oddly enough the one time I was totally convinced I was not pregnant was the time I actually became pregnant. The symptoms appeared around 8 weeks for me. If you were feeling flutters or kicks, that would usually be around week 20 of your pregnancy as well.
I'm very sorry to say all of that...perhaps you aren't trying for a baby but it seems as though you are from your post and it is such a let down to have someone tell you that it's unlikely. But it will happen for you in the future.

Well if you have had blood work done and it shows a negative result , then you are not. If you keep thinking in your head that you are pregnant , then you will feel all the symptoms of a pregnancy, besides the whole peeing a lot thing doesn't happen until toward the last couple of months of pregnancy. I also get some of those symptoms when it comes time for my period , back ache, like rumbles in the belly, but i have been pregnant and know what it feels like and the symptoms, but since you were told that you were not, then you are not. Hope this helps you out

I recently had three blood test & several urine test tested for pregnancy . All negative . I was indeed 2 months & a half weeks pregnant ! Your levels may not be high enough to detest pregnancy or something in the lab could be wrong . Definitely follow your instinct like I did !

go to a different doctor, go in for a pelvic exam, because when i was pregnant I found out I was 4 weeks posotive pregnancy test at home, had first doc aptmt at 6 weeks along, and was due for a pap smeare so he did one and confirmed my pregnancy by doing one and feeling my belly to see where the uterus was at that time, then two weeks later I had a ultrasound and seen my son, I was pregnant for 15 weeks and 2 days at 13 weeks my son died in womb and my body wouldnt let him go naturally so they induced me into labor...that was not fun...it was tragic....your belly wont feel too different til you hit 16 weeks a long or farther you need to keep taking tests and posotive tests are very rarely FALSE. Negatives are very common and you couldve gotten deffective tests, but if you are still not bleeding then chances are you are pregnant, and period like cramps are normal in early pregnancy. tender breasts is an early symptom as well, if you start spotting or heavy bleeding extreme pain on your left or right side get to the er it could be an ectopic pregnancy and if youd be 7 weeks you wouldve noticed by now if it was ectopic...your belly wont start showing until at least 14 weeks for even a little showing..every woman is different...but you need to get to a doctor again and tell them..you know your body and you had a posotive test...their the same tests they do with urine at the doc, ur hcg levels probably arent high enough yet to notice the pregnancy in your urine, tell them to check ur hcg levels.

Typically, your hcg levels must be above 20/25 before a pregnancy test will pick them up and then they double about every two days thereafter. It is doubtful that you are pregnant if a blood test comes back negative after being so many days late. Maybe you ovulated late this month, I have heard of some women having light brown spotting when they have ovulated.

It's possible, but extremely unlikely for a blood test to be falsely negative. However, it is possible that your hormones haven't reached detectable levels yet. Wait a few days and test again.

Your symptoms sound an awful lot like early pregnancy, but the problem is that early pregnancy symptoms are very similar to PMS symptoms.

And just a side note, even if you were pregnant, you wouldn't be able to feel kicks yet. You can't feel them til around 16 weeks or so.

It may be all in your mind. I have been pregnant four times, and there was only once that all of the tests came back negative, but I was really pregnant. It is just a very rare thing, and most of the time necessary, because I ended up having a really painful miscarriage. Hopefully everything works out, just don't get your hopes up, it will crush you.

I would say to go to the doctor and have the ultrasound. It may be all in your head, but you will never know until you get thoroughly checked...you could be right about the hormone levels or it could be a tubal pregnancy. Any way that the test comes out, at least you will have your peace of mind.
