I just read a story about a college student who was pregnant. She had the baby in a bathroom stall at college. Her and the baby died. Her family, friends, and room mates had no idea she was pregnant. They don't even know if she knew she was. The baby wasn't premature either. How could no one know she was pregnant?

A lot of younger girls, especially heavier ones, can eat very little. gain little weight and completely hide it by wearing large or baggy clothes, jackets ect. I'm a post partum nurse and see it all the time, family says they had no idea and the babies are full term!

A woman does not have to be over weight to not show she is pregnant. The young girl who lives across the street from me is all of maybe 86 pounds and about 5' or 4'10" she looked maybe about only 4 or 5 months pregnant since she had a tiny belly but delivered twins weighing 7 and 8 lbs. . My mother had a 26 inch waist up until she was 8 months pregnant . Some women carry the baby way down low and towards the back so they never get a belly. When I heard the girl across the street had her twins I would of sworn that they would of only weighed if they were lucky a pound or two each . thats how tiny her belly was.but like i said they weighed in at even above normal weights for twins. THey weighed like a normal baby. SO you see it could be very easy for someone who carries thier baby towards the back to not show. Unless she would of told someone that she thought she was pregnant I dont see how anyone would of know if she didnt show. In college everyone is to busy running around and studing to be paying attention to what someone else is doing . Many women have had babies all alone and nothing happens to them. There must be more to the story . My friend had her baby in the jacuzzi and was home alone and she is just fine.

its very easy. the girl might not have even known she was pregnant till her water broke. some girls get the luck of being very tiny to the point where peolple cant even tell they are pregnant, and with some people they get their periods the whole way thru the pregnancy like they would normaly.

my friend had a baby last year and she didnt know she was pregnant at all until she started going into labor, she didnt show at all, no one knew she was pregnant and each month she got her period. she went into the hospital and the nurses were being a**holes and completely walked away from her and said that the doctor cant see her right now and she took down her pants and the babys head was showing and she pushed him out.. BUT when she went in, she didnt say she was pregnant she said she was having horrible pain and then she felt it comming and she saw the blood and just like that she had the baby. but she was not over weight at all and she ate fine she just never gained weight, she had a 7 lbs 6 oz. baby.

So it is very very easy that they didnt know. & she might not have even known cause if she woulda im sure she would told atleast someone.

Im sure she knew she was pregnant. Some women do not know they are pregnant until they give birth though which is uncommon but can happen. I read a story on the news of a woman who had her regular period throughout her entire pregnany 40 weeks. she didnt even feel her baby move. She was heavy set so she said she thought her weight gain was from all of her grandmothers cookies. the docs said sometimes a womans hormones act up and they wont feel pregnant nor will they ever experience pregnancy symptoms. Weird but true. Her family might have not known cause she could have avoided them for the pregnancy or she was also heavy set and it didnt show. Its a messed up story though,to think this could have been prevented..i guess no one will never know for sure.

Some people are very good at hiding pregnancies. A friend of mine in high school was 8 months pregnant and no one knew, except those she told. She was always wearing baggy clothes and since we were young, no one monitored her eating habits or her trips to the bathroom. Of course, she was also the type of person you wouldn't have expected to have a baby at such an age. So, it is possible to miss someone's pregnant body. More so if they aren't going to the doctor and getting the right advice and guidance.

About 5 years ago, I cared for a 19 yr old college student who was brought to the ER by a friend for what she believed was a gall bladder attac. She delivered a baby boy in the ER and never told anyone. We kept her in the hospital overnite and she left the next morning after signing out and left the baby behind for adoption. She was kind of heavy and you could not tell she was pregnant.
My step daughter delivered a baby girl when she was 14 and no one knew she was pregnant. She graduated from the 8th grade the evening before she delivered 6 weeks prematurely. She went to the ER for a headache and whalah, she was in eclampsia and they induced her labor.
Amazing isnt it.

The being overweight thing is not always true. My aunt was able to hide her first pregnancy from her parents until she was 8 months pregnant thanks to having older siblings wearing bigger clothes than she did. Also, a couple months ago, my mom wanted Christmas pictures of my son so she had some taken. The woman who took the pictures was 6 months along and she didn't even look it. She was thin and the only way I could tell was by her attitude and how she acted.

Depo. I have been pregnant and not known it until I was like 5 months. The Depo shot throws off a girls period, and sometimes you don't gain all that much weight during pregnancy, six months and still not showing, if i didn't know it and I was on depo I could probably think that I was not pregnant right now.

I honestly don't know, maybe if she was away at college her family didn't see her much. Her friends are probably just non observant or dumb. I mean you don't have a period for 9 months, your belly grows, baby kicks, frequent urination - yep I'm not sure how people miss that!

you would be suprised, i watched one of my friends hide a pregnancy from her dad to full term, she gave birth in her bathroom at home, cut the umbilical cord herself and then headed off to the hospital, i don't believe she ate all that much so she didn't get big at all, she wore clothes that hid her stomach, and she dressed to where it almost looked like she was gaining weight you'd be suprised at what people don't notice because they're too wrapped up in their lives . its sad that the girl and her baby died! things like this happen everyday because people "don't want to get into it" maybe if someone would have payed attention, and weren't so wrapped up in themselves, that mother and child would still be alive today.
