My son was jumping on his bed and fell and hit the dresser and got a nasty cut above his right eye. He is 2 years old and it is his 1st time getting stitches.

I can't remember how many stitches I had. Lets just put it this way, the ER staff knew me on a 1st name basis. I was a wee bit of a dare devil.

I am 48 and have never had stitches or broken a bone or had anything removed ( tonsils etc.) I have 3 adult children that have never had stitches or broken bones and still have all their parts also We waited for the third generation 3 of 7 grandchildern have had stitches and 1 bit a hole in his tongue

About 4. I fell off of a shoe box and cracked my head on the sidewalk of all things. Most recently, I had 5 stitches in my finger from cutting it on a sharp can lid.

I was 19.
My oldest daughter was 17 months old when she took a dive into the coffee table and had to get stitches. Don't worry about it too much- it happens. I know it sucks and makes you feel like a bad mom- I sat up all night crying when it happened to my kid. Just know that you're not the only parent that ever had this happen to their child and you certainly won't be the last. Kids get hurt. Try to have a good night, anyway.

I was 3 my mom dropped a glass coke bottle next to my foot when it broke it cut the top if my big toe and I had to get 5 stitches it took 4 ppl to hold me down to get them but I have to say that the sight of my mom coming in to the room scared me more than the Dr. she had been crying so hard that her black makeup was running down her face lip stick smeared every where snot bubbles screaming I'm sorry I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt you

I think i was 8 or 9, i did a flip off the couch and hit the coffee table with the bridge of my nose. Ill never forget my father taking me to the hospital, one hand driving the other holding a towel on my face. I still have a scar there.

I'm 51 and have never had stitches...my 2 year old ran and hit his lip on the coffee table and had to have his lip stitched..it was awful..he also knocked his front teeth and eventually had to have them pulled when he was almost 5...he just looked older than his age with 2 front teeth missing

I had appendicitis when I was 4 years old. Those would have been my first stitches. I'm in my 40s now and still have a big scar from it.

I was 5. My older brother shot me with his BB gun and got me right above the left eye..I remember my dad tried to get it to come back out the hole, I'm crying..and I ended up going to the ER..I got a sucker and a balloon for being really brave little girl.
