Wow, I was going to say boxing. It's a pointless "sport" where the only goal is to beat the brains out of your opponent/.

The nature to which sports in America has becomed cheapened with money and self-centered "showboat" "athletes", I'd begin with pro-football, basketball, and baseball, and my latest favorite NASCAR is needing some close attention in that matter as well. And college athletics is about as bad. I used to be a fan of bicycling since I was such an avid participant, but money has become a contaminant their too. Boxing and wrestling? Not even worth a comment since I doubt it can truly be called a sport. It's barely more than a showboating mania in ignorance and self-centeredness. Let's see, what does that leave? It leaves the neighborhood ball game, of any sport, or kids racing their bicycles between themselves to see who's got the "coolest" or fastest set of wheels, or the kids running up or down the sidewalk to see who's PF Flyers are the fastest. Maybe if we just took the media and money out of "sports", we'd really have athletic competition. God Bless you.

This is an easy one.... Hockey sux and has to go. And Nascar is probably the worst of all -- but it's not a sport so that doesn't count. If they never raced again they'd be doing the world a favor.

Horse racing. I went to the races where a couple of horses collided together. they put both of them down. That was pretty sad.
As far as boxing is concerned, the boxers go in the ring under their own free will, knowing that they will get hurt.

Boxing. How can you call hitting each other a sport?

Major sport? Hmmm.

I guess that rules out dog racing, bull fighting, cock fighting, etc.

How about... BCS Bowl Games?

Too specific? Not major enough?

How about... IHRL? or PBA? or BASS? or NASCAR?

Define major? MLB, NBA, PGA, NHL, WTA, NFL? Wow, from this list? Boxing.

Boxing, it is. Way too barbaric and dangerous. I have heard of many fighters being killed in the ring, or of dying shortly after a fight.

You got it -- boxing should be outlawed.

Although I went to fight one time - and damn if a Hockey game didn't break out.
