I do not see any team in the NFL that can beat a motivated Giants team. I expect to see them in Tampa. The Jets are a muddier picture. Despite recent euphoria amongst Jet nation, the Jets are the beneficiaries of a somewhat weak schedule. They could realistically win out and end up at 13 - 3 because the remainder of their schedule consists of 2 home games against teams they have already beaten, 2 poor west coast teams and the struggling and entirely mediocre Broncos (at home). However, the Jets have a nasty tendency to play down or up to the level of their opponents. They lost to the pathetic Raiders and almost lost to the even more pathetic Chiefs. In other words, things could go to hell in a handbasket at any time, as it often does for this star-crossed franchise. To get to the SuperBowl, they will probably have to either a) get lucky and collect home-field throughout the playoffs so that if they meet Pittsburgh it is on their own turf or b) get lucky and have Pittsburgh knocked out of the playoffs by someone else (note: the Jets defeated Pittsburgh last year at home, when they sucked). Another team the Jets would likely have trouble against is Baltimore. I would give them a better shot against the Titans (athough beating them twice in the same season would be a tall order), New England, Indianapolis and Denver. Also, the Jets had better pray to every known deity that Leon Washington does not get hurt.

Odds are bad for either one of them getting to the Superbowl, much less both of them. I'd say the Giants have a better chance, because the NFC is a lot weaker. As for the Jets getting past the Pats, Colts, and Chargers? Good luck buddy.

I think both teams will be teeing off on their favorite golf courses come monday morning....and this is coming from a die hard giant fan...and no I'm not bashing the jets...I think they had a real good season and they got themselves a heck of a coach...but I think the Patriots will come out on top with this one..As for my g-men...well it could get ugly for them...their defense is putrid...the secondary cannot come up with a big third down stop when need be and the offense will sputter..everything points to an eagle victory...

I'm rootin' for the Jets, but I'm not exasctly sure why. Underdog syndrome probably. The Chargers are gonna be tough, Grossman won't hack it so watch out for the Saints. LT and Rivers and Gates will be champs IMO.

This last summer, I was hearing Yankees and Mets in the World Series.
I think Jets-Giants have about that same chance.

No way! Even though I'm a Giants fan-they suck this season! Plus both teams play in New Jersey, so why are they called New York teams?

the only thing N.Y. will have to do with the Super Bowl this year is if a plain is routed via N.Y. Go CHARGERS
