*sigh*

Same old question. Its not on fire - its undergoing nuclear fusion.

Its a type G 2 star, its not a yellow thing. Its called the Sun.

Wow... Just.. wow.

Okay.

The sun isn't a fire in the way you're thinking. It's a thermonuclear reaction. All it needs is hydrogen and enough mass for it to start combining into helium under it's own gravity.

Also, there is Oxygen in space. There isn't oxygen everywhere, like here on earth, that would provide atmospheric pressure and breathable air. But, there is still Oxygen out there.

Honestly, you're under so many misconceptions, I don't even know where to start. If you have further questions, eMail them to me via my profile and I will do my best to explain.

It's NUCLEAR FUSION. Nuclear fusion doesn't require oxygen. There is no chemical reaction involved. You're right fire needs fuel heat and oxygen. THE SUN IS NOT A FIRE

No sun is on fire. Suns use nuclear fusion. Fusion is not a chemical reaction.

The sun is more than just a big fire. It is basically one huge nuclear fusion reaction in which hydrogen is fused in to helium.

It is the on going thermonuclear chain reaction that is keeping the sun hot

atomic reaction nuclear bombs exploding all the time dont need oxygen to explode , i suppose if there was oxygen in space it would have all blown up by now

because it is not combustion
it is nuclear fusion so it creates massive heat and energy!!!
same as in every star plasma!
