I need to know what the maximum size memory card that the Nokia 6280 will support. I am looking at buying a 2Gb card to store music files etc but don't want to waste my money if the phone won't support a card this big

The only thing about memory cards on phones are the slots...
If you get the right type of memory cardfor the slot it will work.
And the other thing is YES.... I know that a 1GB defo works becuase i had a 6280 with 1 GB memory card.

Not too sure, i got the 6280 on contract a month ago and it came with a memory card (no idea how big the memory is sorry).
But it seems to hold quite a lot of info. I've already got heaps of photos/videos/messages on it and still lots of memory left.
Great phone, much better than the LG (first and last time i've never had a non nokia phone) one i replaced it with, which always needed recharging, and was always defaulting away from having a signal.
Maybe check out the nokia website? They may give the info on there you need about memory cards.
I will always stick to nokia again in the future - fantastic phones - easy to use, reliable, good features and nice looking.

I can't tell you anything technical about them, only that they are the best, I have one myself and wouldn't swap it.
