I've worn glasses for years and I don't feel that my eye size has changed. Perhaps you were opening your eyes wider, straining while trying to see before the glasses.

Your eyes stop growing around pueberty. An optician will measure how far apart your eyes are probably each time you get new glasses but no...there is no way for your eyes to get bigger or smaller from wearing glasses. Contacts will change the shape of your cornea but you would never notice.

No they do Not. You got use to what they appeared to be with glasses on, and when you don't wear glasses, you can actually see your eyes. They appear much more prominent. They don't get bigger. They are always the same size.
The average newborn’s eyeball is about 18 millimeters in diameter, from front to back (axial length); it grows slightly to a length of approximately 19½ millimeters as an infant; and it continues to grow gradually to a length of about 24-25 millimeters, or about 1 inch, in adulthood. (A ping-pong ball is about 1½ inch in diameter, which makes the average adult eyeball about 2/3 the size of a ping-pong ball.)

It looks like it. My friend's eyes seemed smaller after she had stopped wearing glasses.

no, they don't.
you do get that illusion because the glasses themselves "shrink" your eyes while you are wearing them, so when you take them off, people get the illusion that your eyes are bigger than they actually are because they are used to seeing the "shrunken" illusion.
