Possible to transfer shows on dvr to pc via usb cable?

If I connect the two with a usb cord would it work? Since the dvr has a usb connection can i connect it to my comp and thus would the dvr's hard drive pop up on the laptop like if i plug in a regular external hard drive, allowing me to copy the shows on my dvr's hard drive. Or would that be to easy?

Nope, that's not going to work. It would work if the software in the DVR supports it. Even a Tivo has USB, but it will only allow transfer through a USB to Ethernet adapter.

The usb is not a functional feature on the DVR yet.
