Why are there so many Americans who support Israel despite countless UN resolutions which condemn Israel, the destruction of civilian infrastructure, millions of Palestinian refugees, and the annexed land which was never returned to the Palestinian people?

Please google right now " UN resolutions against Israel " and you will find a list of resolutions that condemn Israel for crimes such as evicting innocent people, annexing land, attacking unnecessarily, and violating international law.
To those who oppose the UN:
Didn't the UN create the state of Israel in the first place? Why would they have a personal bias against Israel?

Because Israel is a democracy surrounded by fascist dictatorships, because every war Israel has ever fought has been in responce to an Arab attack, and because Israel is surrounded by terrorists whose sole purpose in life is to destroy her and slaughter her people. Don't believe me? Read the Hamas charter.

There are countless resolutions against Israel, but can you tell me the last time the UN condemned a suicide murder against Israel? The answer is never.

Yes the UN helped create Israel, but at one point, the UN was run by a Nazi War Criminal named Kurt Waldheim. It was then that the fascist countries started the non-stop condemnations. Since then, the UN has turned the disputed territories into terrorist training camps.

And speaking of the disputed territories, can you tell me who owned these lands before Israel. I'll give you a hint: it wasn't "Palestine" because "Palestine" never existed as a country. Gaza was part of Egypt, lost to Israel in 1967. The West Bank was part of Jordan, lost to Israel in 1967.

Try learning some history.

I love how the Palestines want Palestine back, even though it never existed. I don't get that.

To start -- the land was no annexed from Palestine, because again, Palestine NEVER EXISTED AS AN INDEPENDENT NATION.

As for the resolutions against Israel -- I wanna see the resolutions against the Palestines the next time somebody straps a bomb to their chest and blows a schoolbus from of Israeli children to h***.

Also, the UN did not create Israel. It aided in it's creation, yes, but it was not solely responsible.

All of the land that Israel has one, they have won in wars. Ninety percent of the time (I'm not going to say a hundred, because I'm not entirely sure) they were not the aggressor.

These people have been being attacked because everybody over there thinks they're God's Chosen people. Religion is freaky, and it has been the excuse for a gazillion atrocities over the course of history. And I don't think there's many religions that can say they haven't been.

I don't oppose the UN, but if I remember correctly, wasn't the UN at one point led by a former Nazi? Just something to think about.

And I will not go so far as to say that Israel is completely blameless, but they've been a nation since...1945, and they've been at war (after being attacked) since...what, 1946?

I don't think the UN created the state of Israel but i could be wrong on that. My understanding was that it was created by the Allies after WWII. Anyway, support for Israel comes from the fact that they are generally not the aggressors and are only retaliating for things done to them. Also you have to remember that the bulk of the nations in the UN would be anti-Israel no matter where they were. Most of the nations in the UN are 2-bit little dictatorships and don't allow the freedom of religion that we do here in the US. Once the world, and mostly the Muslim world, gets past the fact that Israel has the right to exist things will get better. The is plenty of criticism against Israel and some of it is justified but mostly is just anti-Semitism.

The UN is full of a bunch of selfish, power hungry, communist pigs. Not to mention that they are sypmpathetic to anti-semitic (NAZI) organizations such as the Aryan Nations, The Aryan Brotherhood, and the American Nazi Party, which is why people support Israel over the UN. What's the UN gonna do about Israel anyway, warn them again? The UN is a ba$tard wing of Al Qaeda and Hezbollah, both of which have called for Israel's destruction.

Well, as soon as Israel was created it was attacked and it won the battles. So it's pretty much at a constant state of war and defending itself and that's a reason for annexing land and such. They do give some back at times. But if the U.S. stopped it's support it would be a more of a fair fight. Most of the problems U.S. has with the Muslim world is it's support of Israel. I personally wouldn't mind if the U.S. stop it's support. But it would piss off my Jewish boss, who's very liberal but never realizes his own ironies.

American governments support Israel because they are afraid of losing the influential Jewish vote in USA elections.
If any other country behaved like Israel , for example Iraq during their invasion of Kuwait, they would be squashed like flies.

Why would Israel want to survive? Don't they know that the Arabs want to drive them into the sea?
