you don't...but a doctor can check...but if you use a tampon or are active and do things like horse back riding or have ever been raped then you hymen has been broken..but it's not something you can feel or something that feels different..

Only a doctor has the tools to get up that far to verify if it is or not broken.

It's not broken, what happnens is it tears and that what cause you to bleed. So it might be hard to tell, but look for a small tear.

it could hurt. or you might get a little bit of blood in your underwear. if you do alot of physical activity, it is likley that it is allready broken.
