No amnesty. It would be just plain wrong. Millions of people, including those from Latin America, have legally immigrated to the US and become a productive member of our society. We love them, it's part of our rich heritage. Illegals now, suppress wages in certain careers. If they give them social security, that will hasten the bankruptcy of the program (since Congress won't fix it). Besides, there is no way to track these people. The system is overloaded as it is, adding 12 million into it is just absurd.

What about the people in Europe or Asia or Africa that have been doing it the correct way and waiting to come to America. Why should those who just walk in get in before them. And why should they be able to be under the radar as far as the government is concerned? Let's rethink this to make it fair for all.

Unfortunately your question is moot because Bush has already agreed to open the border with Mexico rendering amnesty meaningless. While we debate the pros and cons of rascism and a border fence, Bush has sold us all down the Rio Grande.
