If so and so doesn't like you then it is so and so's loss. You might want to be sure your information is correct. Maybe so and so does like you and the person who told you is not truthful. The truth does hurt especially when you tell the truth to yourself. I think the person who told you so and so didn't like you should have been a little more compassionate and minded her own business. Unless of course you sent her to get the information for you. You should find out for yourself next time. It gets better.

A lot of folks don't know this, but it is rude to tell somebody that somebody else doesn't like them. The reason is that first, it could hurt your feelings; second, it might not be true; and third, even if it's true, the other person might be kind enough not to want you to know it.

The truth hurts because it forces us to really look at ourselves. We usually go thru life observing everyone and everything around us, judging, criticizing and labeling as we see fit. But when we are forced apply these same judgements to ourselves, it can be unpleasant at best.
So, be careful of your expectations of others. You might not be able to live up to your own standards.

Rejection... the worst experience in the world next to having your foot ran over by a steamroller.

It hurts because if the right person says it, it can devastate your life... It happened to me, I gave up on love, love isn't an emotion for me anymore. Best idea is to just find someone who loves you and love them back. Than you don't get your heart broken.

It's not the event, but our beliefs about the event that get us into "trouble." And btw, it's OK to hurt, it doesn't feel good, but we wouldn't know how "good" felt if we couldn't measure it against how "bad" feels.

Accept the truth and move on.

Peace.

People can be very thoughtless and cruel. My mother always said if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. I think more mothers should say this to their kids, because I think most people have forgotten about it.
