jcrew is converting most of their sizes over to the waist measurement in jeans now. i am normally a 12 - 14 there and wear 33 jeans. you would probably be 27 or 28. Kind of between sizes.

If you can get a tape measure . . . . For waise size . . . . put the tape (with the inchhes side out so you can easily see it) LOOSELY around the plumpest part of your butt. Hold the end of the tape measure in the front while holding it together with the long end.
That is your waise size. I know it's acctually your butt but it's the way hipa are measured. Usually something like 36,38, 44 inches around

Your inseam is from your croutch to your ankle or floor (depends on where you like your jeans to stop). Inseam also let's someone know about how tall or petite you are.

Tall girls inseam 32 inches or higher like 34 inches . . . . . .
Petite girls inseam is usually around 28 to 30 inches. Don't know how tall you are but 30 inches is the reccomended norm for Petites.

So your measure will look something like this: 36inch waist and 32 inch inseam. Kinda like that. Good luck. Oh yeah. Some stores have LONG AVERAGE & SHORT on the jeans.

Low rise jeans don't fit at the waist..
Just go to the store and try a few on.
Jeans tend to fit a little differently,
from person to person and from
brand to brand. Sometimes you
might need a 6 and other times
you might need an 8.

I think maybe about a 29. But I'm not sure. I avoid jeans because I'm very petite and have somewhat of a hard time finding jeans that are comfortable.

Best to measure your waist and inseam to be correct.
