There's reason to believe that personally, Bush has no particular problem with homosexuals. What he has done though, is pander to the religious right in order to get their votes. One of the ways he's done this is to speak against gays and support policies which deny gays equal protection under the law.

The sad thing is, this has worked. Bush's largest group of support has come from religious conservatives and evangelicals. For many of these people, it doesn't matter what sort of president he is, as long as he's against abortion and hates gays.

"The Bible" has been used to kill HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of people in the MOST HEINOUS way possible, so I basically don't give a sh*t what you think.

And, personally, if I were a woman, President Bush and Mr. Cheney would be 2 reasons to GO GAY! if one could.

I love that you said, "tell me if you feel that gays SHOULD BE ABLE to live their life how they want" lol, showing what a BIG*T you are.

WHY CAN'T WE LIVE OUR LIVES IN PEACE? That's all we WANT! Personally, I think we need to start harrassing Christians and passing laws against them, seriously. They seem to have way to many freedoms to interefere with the lives of others!!!

What does George Bush have to do with the bible other than he doesn't know how to read it?

Bush's views on equal rights for gays ought to be the least of the worries of the American people. He has far more destructive views on many other things.

As the Declaration of Independence said... We have certain unalianable rights: life, liberty, and THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS. If gays are happy with people of the same sex and are not happy having to only have a relationship with people of the opposite sex, then Bush should have absolutely NO right taking away the gays' right of happiness with a gay partner.

The Bible is a good starting point for morality, but if we took everything in the Old Testament literally, none of us should be eating shellfish. Especially if you were Christian, you should understand that Jesus liberated people from the restrictive rules of the Old Testament, replacing all with love.

Bush's opinion doesn't really matter. The guy cannot debate his side's way out of a wet paper bag.

Beside, soon enough he will go home. That is what I call 'the beginning of civilization'

I just find it rather annoying.. I hope gays get all the rights they deserve before Bush is rolling in his grave. It took a while for the blacks and minorities to get their rights, the disabled people of america to get theirs.. gays just need to keep their heads up and keep at it. maybe someday we'll end the racism, the agism, and all other forms of discrimination. I'm pretty friggin' optimistic aren't I?

That is how I feel. I'm a Christian (screw all the people who say I'm not a "real" one) but God did not write the Bible man did. If God hated gays he would not of put them here. I think we should just all leave them alone if we don't plan on helping their cause

bush may not be too bright, but his stand on homosexuality is just one of the things that helped him into office for a 2nd. Demo's beware: if you want hillary or whatever lib. to get in 2008,distance yourself a little from the gay lobby, then once in,drop the net and run this country into the ground like you want to. i will be cheering you on all the way!
