Oh yea I do!!!! I have a 4 year old that loves to play with anything. I have never put molasses or grain in anything. He likes to sipn things, anything lead ropes, halters you name it he will spin it. But he kept hitting his knees with the bolt snaps, so I got some thick rope tied knots in it and then got some tennis balls, cut holes in them and strung them on the rope. He loves them.

I've used this idea for horses that like to chew. Start by folding two pieces of bailing twine in half. Braid all four pieces together, leaving a good eight inches or so open at the bottom. You can either add more twine and create a ball, or you can firmly tie a small stuffed animal (minus eyes and all other plastic parts) to the bottom. You can also use a toy with a squeaker, though be careful they don't get the squeaker out. Hang this from the top of the stall. This can amuse the horses for hours. You can also do the standard rocks in a well-washed milk jug, minus the cap.

Well, we don't spend a fortune on our horses, but we do use my little brother's toys sometimes. If he has a big bouncy ball or like one time we were getting new beds, so we constructed 3 together to make obsticles and little houses for our 2 miniature horses and some jumps and cavelettis for our bigger horses.

Take a heavy plastic jar (the big bottles of canola oil work well) and fill it with cookies. Then cut a whole in it but make sure it isnt shap, or just leave off the lid. then hang or leave loose in the stall.

I like to find things around the yard or neighborhood. Large buckets, Tubs filled with water is a favorite where they can paw and splash. Things tied in a stall or corral.

I had a colt that loved to play basketball. It became even more interesting for him after he crushed the thing and could fling it around by picking it up with his teeth. He also liked to play with those orange traffic cones.

I had a yearling that played with an small tire. He played with it just like he would with one of those horse balls.
