This question is way too hard to answer without a little backstory.. who are you getting for (ages/sexes/gaming styles etc)... Each system has it's own strengths and weaknesses.... I will try and put a little spin on each of them, though it is pretty much the same thing that everyone says.. XBOX360.. it is by far the strongest of the systems for today, but who knows how long MS can hang on to that top spot. They have the best LIVE system currently, the best games and a year headstart on everyone of this generation of games... It is easies to develop for than PS3 and the days of the "exclusive" deals are not as prevalent as in days past and the 360 gets pretty good support from game developers.. the downside is that some people out there just don't like MS and because of that will it creep into support for the system if Sony ever figures it out or people start making more games for the Wii as well... If you are looking for a system for today and not with some tomorrow in it, then the 360 is good to go.. The PS3 is not totally a game system and tries to be more of a entertainment system instead with Blu Ray and some other features.. The system is hard to develop games for and a lot of Dev houses are just porting games from 360 over to the PS3 and you are not seeing any difference in the two units because of that which is a disservice to the PS3 which really will end up having more power than the 360 if it ever gets unlocked properly.. The live system they have now is a joke and they have a new system coming out in the fall called Home (think Mii meets Sims).. it might work, might not.. a lot of gamers are going to be too cynical to screw around with it I think.. but who knows.. The Blu Ray is great on it if you have a TV that is HD and are into getting into next-gen movies.. the game selection is awful though right now.. I bought one game at launch and have not purchased a new one since because of lack of interest in the titles now... Sony has flopped on some things before (Betamax, the jury is still out on the PSP, etc) but they will throw a lot of money at this to try and make it work and already seen a "step down" at the top and someone else is running the game division now... so the jury is still out.. I think long run the PS3 is going to be the better system if Sony can figure out what they are doing with it.. and that is no sure bet, sadly. Finally is the Wii.. it should not be compared to the other two systems because it is not in the same class... not saying it isn't a fun system, but it just is very different than the other two.. while the other two systems could be compared to computers the Wii is not trying to market themselves like that and it is just fun system with no HD and no bells and whistles for how things look, etc... the big hook there is the controllers (yes the Sixaxis on PS3 does movement too, but not like this)... this is the kind of system for people who have had Nintendos before and like Mario party and social gaming.. though I have played Zelda and it is pretty fun as well (*though I never have time to game like I used to back in the day*) It will never be a system for a hardcore gamer, but it is a great system as a second system for people like that.. and it is also a good "entry" system for people who are not sure about gaming but might want to try... granted you won't graduate from a Wii to a PS3 and make the move seemlessly into it... It is also the least expensive of the three, which means if you are getting it for younger kids, you are not slapping down 500-plus for a system.... and the games are cheaper than the next gen games for the other two systems.. I have all three systems.. so I know everything I am speaking of first hand because of that... again, it really depends on what you are looking for and who you are looking for...

I preferred Nintendo Wii. I think this Console will be the best of all of them.

Playstation 3 is my choice. The wii is just too childish and not worth for the long run. While the 360 just not as innovative enough to compete, it's good, but lacking interesting features.

The Wii. Its more.."user friendly", not so violent, and was directed towards the family. The Wii gets you up and at it, instead of sitting all day. The games area also cool, with nice design, and fun.
