Nope, it is just a change of command and has nothing to do with changing Sailors to Army or Marines

There is something more morbid than I ever suspected going on.

Somehow I was thinking... Sure Bush is destroying America for his friends: but I never in my wildest imagination thought he would purposely put our Armed Forces in danger for his own greedy reasons. Is Bush setting up the troops for a Blood Bath?

I doubt it.

But, did you know that the first Gulf war was the first action to employ the Marines more than 50 miles inland? Our current Crusade continues to employ them as such. (I use the term crusade because that's how Dubya likes to refer to Christians help'n Muslims)

Bush wants more troops in the Army and Marines, doesn't want a draft, but knows how hard it is to recruit during a long running conflict. I wouldn't say your suggestion is too outlandish..

No it means that Bush just recently increase the presence of the US Navy in the Persian Gulf (just in case he decides to launch an bombing attack against Iran's nuclear program) and he needs his top Admiral there to command it. He's not so much in the Mideast for Iraq as he is for Iran.

They have begun a process of placing sailors in Iraq to relieve some of the troops there now .

This would be a great solution for the war. Put all our troops on board ships and make the "insurgents" come to them. End all this door to door stuff and force them to swim out where we could pick them off one by one. Excellent question.!

No chance . Sailors aren't trained to be a soldier / It would be leading a lamb to the slaughter . Well now that you mention it , I put nothing past anybody in the White house .
