I've kept plecos with betta with no problems in the past. Depending on the size of your tank it may be more practical to just stick to water changes/suctioning the gunk off the bottom; even with a bottomfeeder routine maintainance such as water changes are still needed.

Cory cats and Kuhli loaches also make suitable bottomfeeder tank mates.

you can put a sucker fish with yur betta, it has to be a non agressive fish and the betta should be ok. I had a sucker fish in my betta tank and never had a problem.

I wouldn't recommend it. I have a betta, but it's in a different fish tank. Once we put it in the other tank (there were tettras, sucker, and an angelfish) and it started chasing them and biting off their tails. I would do what I'm doing, keep it in another tank, or possibaly put it in a vase with a plant. That way the plant gets fertillised and the fish gets oxygen.

yes because the sucker fish won't nipp the betta fishes finns and it won't hurt it. bettas are not aggressive tworads all fish especially ones bigger than it, since bettas are slow swimmers smaller fish may try to nipp its tails but sice the sucker fish just clings to the wall it won't hurt the fish.

Yes....but if you have your betta in a small tank, you may want to upgrade. Mine lives peacefully with two plecos, two goldfish, eight danios, a moonlight gourami, and a newt...but in a 29 gallon tank, so he has his space. If you have them together in a 2 1/2 gallon tank, they should be fine.

I think you can, if it's a bit bigger than the beta it won't try to kill it.
But honestly, for 1 beta you don't need a cleaner. Just keep the water changed more often.
