how did the lord's ,manor lay out and how did it function and monasteries and gothic churchs.

They used their towns in exactly the same way that we do. They took items to sell in the markets, they went shopping for themselves. They went to watch musicians and actors performing in the streets. Some people lived in the towns, some ran busineses in the town.
