She hasn't been weighed for a while because of one reason or another, my partner stood on the scales with her, took his weight off to find hers. I was just shocked! 2 stone sounds alot!

I found my daughter gained loads of weight and then grew upwards, lost it all and then started the whole thing again.
if he/she is not walking you might find they will lose it when they do.
also the way you weighed them isnt acurate, or so im told.
if you worried then see your gp. my neice was huge at that age, i think 2.5 stone, they said she was off the chart and needed a diet but all of a sudden it just dissapeared!

Presumably at ten months old he's not walking yet. I found with mine that when they started running around they lost weight and evened out a lot. Babies go through growth phases where they grow upwards and then outwards. If you're worried talk to your Health Visitor but I wouldn't be too concerned. My two year old has stayed pretty much the same weight for eight months now.

How tall is the baby?
My youngest is 16 months, she's 2ft10 and she weighs 2 stone, but as she is on the same centile for her weight and her height, they don't see it as a problem.

The weight won't be too accurate using that method so she could be a little lighter than you think.
Even if she does weigh that much, she'll loose a lot once she starts walking.
As long as she's healthy and lively you have nothing to worry about.

as long as he eats healthy food, not junk, then i dont see why it is a problem. When he starts walking more, he will soom lose some weight.
