Obviously, no legit scout is going to contact you via yahoo. However, you can contact Actra and get a list of reputable agencies. Still, you need to use your common sense. Don't pay money up front, and don't change your look after your portfolio pictures are already taken.

Legit modeling agency owners have NO reason to come to Yahoo!Answers searching for models, when models know how to find a modeling agency.
If you get any responses, they will be scams.

The way to get an agent is to find the listing of all agencies you are interested in. Once you do that, mail your headshot and resmue to them. If they are interested they will contact you.
