Schedule II in the united states when drugs like mushrooms and Cannabis are Schedule I? When its obvouse that Cannabis is prescribed more in the states where its legal then all the otheres combined in all 51 states?

Scedule I - The drug or other substance has no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States.

Schedule I drugs may not be prescribed.

Schedule II - The drug or other substance has a currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States or a currently accepted medical use with severe restrictions.

Schedule II drugs may be prescribed with a written prescription from a licensed physician or nurse practitioner.

Because if people used it they would become unproductive and our economy would collapse.

Marijuana is a schedule II drug, there is no doubt about it. I know plenty of people with medicinal marijuana, completely legal, it was prescribed to them. Mushrooms is a completely different matter altogether. I know in the past the government allowed the use of them in certain religious circumstances.

Historical reasons.

Well, to understand the present I'd look first to the past. In both the past and present, people often (a) are not informed, (b) do not make rational decisions, (c) have agendas.

I don't want to get into it here, but I encourage you to read up on it if you're interested.
