I'm a first grade and fifth grade teacher and I've been offered a 12th grade English teacher position (aka my dream job), one 45-minute class a day, for the remainder of the school year while the teacher's away on maternity leave. I'm considering taking it, but I'd like to know what it would be like (especially as my experience is in elementary education), what you do to make class fun and interesting for your students and any pitfalls/warnings that I should think about. It's a small private school, so my class would only be about 15 students, if that, but I would love some advice from actual 12th grade teachers!!

I consistently had to be a instructor. I enjoyed college and that i enjoyed helping others. I went to college and then to graduate college the place I have been given an MA in guidance and my coaching credential. the better area is being with the youngsters and the "lightbulb" moments whilst they comprehend something. The worst is the administrative and bureaucratic crap that we'd desire to head with the aid of. i might make dad and mom greater responsible for the habit and situation of their young toddlers. We basically see them 6 hours in keeping with day. the dad and mom are responsible for self-discipline and looking out after them, and in many cases, that would not happen. everybody is in a position to sue the college, yet they don't shelter the mess they convey about about at homestead. they think of that the faculties are completely responsible for the upbringing and welfare of the youngsters. we are actually not. dad and mom are.
