Yes. But i've been saying this since the 2003 rosebowl. He refuses to change up the offense to fit this modern age. Like it only took 6 sacks and a 4 and 18 in the end of the third/beginning of the 4th to put henne in the shotgun. At michigan it's not acceptable to lose 4 of 5 to ohio state and lose your last 4 bowl games. He didnt change up anything from the USC 03 loss to the 06 loss. 16 combined sacks in just those to bowl games. if he didnt have that 1997 title he'd be gone and he nearly blew that game to Ryan leaf.

My roomate is a diehard Michigan homer. He is not happy with Lloyd Carr right now because of his dismal record against Ohio State. He tells me that beating Ohio State is the primary goal of the season. He'd rather beat Ohio State and lose 4 games then go to the national championship and lose to Ohio State. That's a bitter rivalry!

I would say no though. I'm sure a lot of Michigan fans wouldn't be crying if he got the axe. He has a great record, he just can't beat Ohio State.

I didnt think he should be fired until today. Mississippi State is a middle of the pack SEC team. If you're Michigan there is no way you should lose by 38 points to MIssissippi State. He needs to go and Michigan should go after Harbaugh

Most schools would die to have the record that Michigan has. But in Ann Arbor, it comes down to 2 games a year.
Ohio State & BCS game.

Not sure how patient Michigan will be if there is not a " W " next to those.

Good coach, if every two loss coach in the country got fired, there wouldn't be any. Plus, your only losses are to the Rose Bowl winner and national championship team. Go figure, you want to fire him.

He's a winner, The students love to play for him, The school love him, We all love him for the great job him has done. The last 2 games were hard 1 when BO died and 2 when Mr. FORD died. They will be back plus if you look back they always do crappy in the Rose Bowl. PS GO BIG BLUE

No. I know Michigan alumni is not happy with another loss to Ohio St. and another Rose Bowl loss. But it's no reason to go balistic on Lloyd Carr who has a great overall record.

They should give him another year to try and finish the job instead of losing his last 2 games again.
