I have a lot of shirts that have a wide neck and absolutely will not stay on the hanger. Any ideas?

I bought a drying rack at Wally World for about 8 bucks. It's great for all kinds of fabrics to include sweaters. ((They sell them in the housewares section where you find ironing boards))

I buy those plastic hangers, and some have a "slot like" cut~out for straps etc...but they don't always work. If you hang them inside out and use a clothes pin on each shoulder, that works, but depending on the fabric can leave a mark, unless you double up some felt (Or other material) and put between the shirt & clothes pin. A slightly more pricey solution is to buy the hangers that are covered with a no-slip thin foam~like material made especially for this problem..but you can make your own with the hangers you already have:) And, sometimes, on some "slinky" fabric shirts, I hang them upside down and clothes pin the shirt hem to the hanger.~~Just kinda' depends on the style, fabric, etc.
Good Luck and I hope this helps!

If you have access to a Target store, they sell extra large thick plastic hangers. Absolutely love them, my husband is really huge through the neck and shoulders and regular hangers are way to small, the whole shoulder would be draping down off the hanger. Possible some other stores sell them but I have only found these giant hangers at the Target store. Maybe you can go to Target on line and buy them that way. I guarantee it will solve your problem, they are a godsend for bigger shirts and blouse's. I though K-Mart maybe would have them but they don't......only Target.

Put a wide elastic band (like the kind that comes around broccoli) around the hanger close to each end. The shirts should not slide off because there'll be a little friction from the rubber.
