It all depends. Some people lose it gradually (and never even notice it). Others, like myself, lose it all at once (which is totally disgusting, btw). I lost mine three weeks before I was finally induced at 41 weeks. My friend lost hers the day before she went into labor.

You'll probably lose yours somewhere in the third trimester..but again, it all depends on the person.

It is really different for everyone, but in my personal experience, I have two kids, it was usually right before labor is about to start, sometimes it can come 2 weeks before you are actually going into labor, other times it will happen the day you baby is going to be born. Most often it indicates that your baby will be here soon! Best of luck.

The mucus plug will come out as your cervix is dialating. It could start to come out anywhere from a few weeks before labor starts to during active labor. It may not all come out at once, but as heavier discharge over several days.

You have lots of time before you should be expecting your mucus plug! Happy waiting!

Pre-Labor

It usually comes out of your body anytime between 7/14 days before labor. You will notice it easily as it will look like nothing you have seen before. Large grayish, greenish in color with a jelly like texture. Hope this is of some help.

With my first baby I lost it when I was starting labor. All I had was some light bleeding. The baby did not come for many hours later. Then with my second baby I did not even know I lost it.

You shouldn't expect it until beginning stages of labor. You can actually lose it several days before you have any other signs.
Good luck during the remainder of your pregnancy and your labor.

I'm pretty sure it comes out a couple days before you actually go into labor.

Mine came out two weeks before I even went into labor and other friends said they never even lost theirs. So don't go into panick mode just because you lose it. It varies from person to person so there is really no correct answer.

Sometime in the late part of your third trimester, once you start dilating.

If you don't go into labor w/in 48 hours of losing it, it will regrow.
