I think the smile of the person that i returned the wallet for. I would hope that someone would see the value of my smile and maybe a reward when they return the favor to me when i lose my wallet

Once I found a wallet. The lady had several children.She could not afford to lose the wallet.The smile meant a lot.

Neither one, really. I wouldn't keep the wallet, I wouldn't expect a smile. I just think of how sickening it would be for me to lose my wallet and how grateful I'd be if someone returned it. Putting yourself in someone else's shoes is enough.
