No... the only solution is to defeat the enemy totally.

Looking at just the first sentence of your question, without the details, I say that yes, the solution is political (but not in the way you mean it). There truly is no military solution in Iraq. How would you go about rooting out an enemy that looks & speaks just like a friend? And how do you lessen the number of insurgents by killing more fathers, brothers, sons, daughters, mothers, sisters, etc.?

There is no way to achieve peace in Iraq with more violence. That seems like such an obvious statement, but apparently it isn't obvious to a lot of people. Bush's cowboy diplomacy and refusal to negotiate with anyone deemed "the enemy" cannot lead to good ends. The entire point of diplomacy is to head off situations before they escalate. If communication is cut off, there is no way do this. This also seems like an obvious statement.

But, back to your question. I really can't believe that you are accusing people of sabotaging the war effort to gain a political advantage simply because those people are exercising their patriotic duty in a free society to speak out against what they feel is wrong. Do you really, honestly, sincerely believe that Democrats are so evil that they would knowingly hinder efforts in Iraq, thereby causing more needless deaths? Why can't you assume instead that they believe that this war is wrong and that they feel an obligation to make that known?

While we definitely disagree on this issue, I don't think that you are a bad person. Why do you think that I am?

Yes. All that is necessary is the Impeachment of Bush/Cheney and the problem would be easily solved. Purely political.

Now that Saddam is out of power its more political then before, however we still need troops there to protect the people who are trying to help the Iraqis.

Simple.if we completely destroyed the barran wasteland of Iraq...the Iraq war would be over....Unfortunately, there would be some other sh*t for brains that would cause another....( Korea, Iran, Somalia, Lebanon)
