I am a normal heterosexual male, I wear a watch, gold neck chain, a silver bracelet, a couple of finger rings, but have recently bought a gold ankle bracelet.
I feel a bit self conscience in public, thinking everybody notices, in the summer without socks, especially with my mates, that I would cover it up! I was wondering if wearing it would make me look a bit like a hoe, or a strange dude?
Also maybe black nail polish on my toenails would be over the top, but as they can be inside shoes, I don't feel that a problem as it's only the missus and I see em!
What y'all think?

If you feel a bit self-conscious then you have obviously gone over the top a little. Forget what people think, if you are comfortable with it then go ahead, but clearly you're worried about public reaction so don't wear it if you are going to be self conscious. Where's the fun in that?
By the way, I think it's great that you have the confidence to be yourself and experiment and that your lady supports you. Isn't it great to break out of the mould and do your own thing?
You sound like a man who knows his own mind - I bet you look great and very stylish!

Hi
I think that a watch, a modest neck chain and the odd ring is fine.
If you dont feel comfortable wearing something in public, whether clothing or jewelery then perhaps it is not really you, I would never wear something that I do not feel totally comfortable with, it sounds to me that you may be putting yourself in a vulnerable position if you are worried what people and friends may think, what really matters is what you and your missus think, stop worring about everyone else and just be yourself ... If your mates cannot accept that then are they really good mates?
Personally, I don't like to see men wearing lots of jewelery (women either), especially big chunky things whether gold or silver and the ankle chain would definately bother me if my boyfriend started to wear one, I dont like the idea of nail varnish on men. But that is just me. Everyone is entitled to dress the way that they want.

You sound a little like a chav. Unless you are looking for a Chavette I would stick to either a Neclace or wrist chain or ring.
Oh, and I cannot stress this enough NOT gold. It looks cheap and tacky like it came from H Samuals eewwww!

Yes, I feel it is strange or odd when I see a dude with a lot of jewelry. I guess it is the generalisation of how we perceive women and men. Women have the jewelry to look pretty, but men should be more "functional" in their attire and purpose. It could just be me though.

In my opinion it all sounded ok until you got to the ankle chain, I dont see them as being a bloke thing, and if you are uncomfortable about people seeing it then I dont think you are really comfortable with it either. Also wouldn't like my bloke to wear nail varnish either! But hey thats me!

I wouldn't say strange but it can become very unattractive if overdone. Also, mixing silver and gold can end up tacky. Want an example of sexy male jewelry? Johnny Depp.
