I have watched the chiefs since 94 and we suck somehow every single season. This playoff game has driven me insane. Is it just me, or are we eternally cursed to either a) bad quarterback b) a horrific kicker c) an idiotic defense d) the stupidest coach in history or e) all of the above?

Another season over, what changes will we make this year that will screw up next season?

Beacuse God is clearly more of a Broncos fan.

Honestly, this team had no business being in the playoffs, it was a gift from the Broncos. KC always has a competitive team and LJ is a great RB but I think your problem today was lack of offensive production. Green needs to go. The D played well enough for a win today. And the coach played much too conservatively. So to answer your question its a and d for the most part.

Y'all are so spoiled. I've been watching the Chief's since like '77 all through the Marv Levy era (4-12, 7-9, 8-8, 9-7, 3-6: 0 playoff appearances) through the John Mackovic (6-10, 8-8, 6-10, 10-6, one playoff appearance) and...oooooh boy Frank Gansz (4-11, 4-11-1 [I saw the -1 game, 6-6 tie vs. the Browns, zzzzzzz, now THAT was a boring game], 0 playoff appearances)...that's eleven years with 1 playoff appearance and only one other year where they even had a chance of making the playoff's.

And wait a minute...you can't call Edwards, "The stupidest coach in history" we already awarded that title to Schottenheimer back in '98 (for...conservative play calling)...right before he bolted for the Bolts.

Bad quarterback, check...but quarterbacking for the Chief's with their O-line is like playing in the middle of I-70.
horrific kicker, check--double check in fact.
Defense was actually pretty good, considering...I mean this was the Colts and the defense was on the field for almost 40 minutes. The defense was exhausted by the end of the first half thanks to the offense's stellar production (7 first downs total and 0, 0!!! in the first half.)

The biggest change we need is to repair the offensive line. The passing game wasn't helped any by the need to keep Gonzalez back for blocking...and speaking of Gonzalez, we should probably be more worried about keeping him, than any changes we have to make.

Oh and speaking of inbreeding Spades of Columbia...Kansas City (the big one) is in Missouri, not Kansas.

Well you can't blame God and you can't blame the coaches --- neither of them make up the 11 that's on the field. Football is like a chess game -- the coaches can only think what play the other coach is going to call. It is up to the teams to execute and it is also up to the teams to read the other teams formation and adjust accordingly -- and at this point the adjustments must be made by the captain on both sides of the ball.

I'm glad the Colts won because I want them to come into Baltimore and shove it down the Ravens throats. Its been 20 years since the Colts left Baltimore and the people here are still whining. Well, the Ravens have gotten their wish -- they get Indy next weekend.

What the hell do we need ? Another Joe Montana just to win a playoff game ? Is that the way it is ? When you said " we suck", you took the words right out of my mouth. People are starting to make fun of us. It's embarrassing. We have lost five straight playoff games. Three of them at home. The Royals will probably win the World Series before the Chiefs win another playoff game.

Hey! Dont blame god, just blame the coach. While you're at it, blame the competition.

God hates Kansas because God thinks inbreeding is wrong, and Kansas only hires inbreeded coaches.
