Viewing is not illegal, downloading is not even illegal, burning, copying, distributing, all illegal.

It is generally illegal to download something that is illegally distributed.

The uk has some of the oldest copyright laws on the planet. it's also signed the international copyright conventions.

there are a couple of exceptions such as for educational use.

Yes that is illegal, though you aren't likely to get caught. That's a breach of copyright which is basically theft though people hate to admit to it. Why don't you try sneaking into the cinema to see if for free instead that at least is a slightly less cowardly way of stealing a free view.
