My guess is that it will be slowly oxidized to propionaldehyde in the liver and then propionic acid.
The lethal dose is 250 ml (8 oz). This makes it slightly more toxic than ethanol (booze), but much less toxic than methanol (wood alcohol).
Since the alcohol appears to be more toxic than the oxidation products, ethanol will worsen the toxic effects. In the case of ethylene glycol, where the alcohol is less toxic than its oxidation product (oxalic acid), ethanol is a partial antidote.
