Is there a sorority that doesn't do any dangerous hazing?

I want to join a sorority because i've heard that it is a really cool way to meet life long friends and have fun in college. But i'm afraid of hazing and dieing from it. When you get hazed, do you know what they are going to make you do and when you find out, do you have to do it? Oh, and is there any sorority that doesn't do any dangerous hazing? Maybe one that makes you sing a song in front of the school or something.

yes there is, its called getting out on your own and finding the best people you can to be around and hanging out with them. you dont need a sorority to do that.

First of all, it's ILLEGAL for sororities to haze. When they do, and they get caught, they lose their chapter at that school. That's not to say that it doesn't happen, but know that you have a right to be treated with dignity, respect and honor. If you are harmed physically or mentally, you should not hesitate to call the authorities at your school, or the national chapter of your sorority.

That said, explore all the sororities during rush.There are social sororities, ethnic-based sororities, service sororities, educational sororities, etc. The most important thing is to find an organization you believe in with a group of women you click with.
